i was born in hong kong and received my primary and
secondary education from saint joseph's college. in my teens i
moved to the united states and finished my high school education in
los angeles, california.
i attended the university of southern california, majoring in architecture, and received my master degree in urban design from the graduate school of design in harvard university. for my first 20 years of my career, i worked in large and small firms in the southern california area, focusing on custom homes, multi-family residences and mixed-use projects. i moved to seattle, washington in 1993, and continued my architecture practice with focuses on mixed-use and senior living projects. in 2013, i moved back to my birth city of hong kong to reconnect with my roots. i am currently living in honolulu, hawaii, and continue my practice on a limited basis, taking on only selective and meaningful projects. stewart chung |
